I have wrote this method:
@RequestMapping(value="/someURL", method=GET)
public String myMethod(RedirectAttributes redirectAttributes)
{
redirectAttributes.addAttribute("rd", "rdValue");
redirectAttributes.addFlashAttribute("fa", faValue);
return "redirect:/someOtherURL";
}
Test code:
@Test
public void myMethod() throws Exception{
MockHttpServletRequestBuilder request = MockMvcRequestBuilders
.get("/someURL");
ResultActions result = mockMvc.perform(request);
}
If I invoke test execution I see:
org.springframework.web.util.NestedServletException: Request processing failed; nested exception is org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.support.HandlerMethodInvocationException: Failed to invoke handler method [public java.lang.String com.epam.hhsystem.web.controllers.VacancyMenuController.myMethod(org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.support.RedirectAttributes)]; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalStateException: Argument [RedirectAttributes] is of type Model or Map but is not assignable from the actual model. You may need to switch newer MVC infrastructure classes to use this argument.

I understand that problem with RedirectAttributes, But I don't understand how to solve it.
By MockMvc how to test that redirectAttributes contains rd
and fa
?
I use 3.2.3.RELEASE spring framework version
You can use
MockMvcResultMatchers#flash()
which returns aFlashAttributeResultMatchers
object which has anattribute()
method.Note that
"rd"
will be aModel
attribute, not a flash attribute.
