问题:

hi im using maven to compile a jersey web services project and im getting error compiling it in windows 2008 server.

Here is the error:

Try compile the project first. Run your command as before but slightly modified:

mvn -e compile exec:java

Justification: Of course I don't have your sources and cannot be 100% sure but I have the very same error if I execute without compiling first:

Then, you should run your command again:

mvn exec:java -Dexec.mainClass="your.Class"

For my case, I had the wrong npm version installed. I needed the 7.6 for my dependencies but I had the 3.6.

I removed and installed npm to the newest version:

sudo apt-get remove npm && sudo apt-get autoremove
curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_7.x | sudo -E bash -
sudo apt-get install -y nodejs
sudo apt-get install -y build-essential
curl -o- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/creationix/nvm/v0.33.1/install.sh | bash
source ~/.bashrc
nvm install 7.6
nvm use 7
