Set WiFi proxy without rooting phone [closed]

问题:

I'm connected with my personal Android phone on the WiFi network of my company. To access to the Internet, we have to specify the proxy address and port ; no user or password to set.

How could I specify proxy address in my phone without rooting it? I don't find any option in the WiFi advanced settings.

AFAIK, APN is used only for 3G network and not for WiFi. Is it right ?

Update:

An update Other The Air (OTA) had been performed on my phone several weeks ago. Now, with my HTC Desire HD with Android 2.3, I can set the WiFi proxy (before, it was running on Android 2.2).

On Home screen, "Menu" Key > Parameters > Wireless > Wi-Fi Parameters > "Menu" Key > Advanced... > WiFi Proxy

My network/phone provider : SFR France

If you have an HTC Phone, the answer is simple: You can't.

If you got anything else, go to WiFi Settings, press the Menu-Button (physical) and select "Advanced Settings", there you can change the proxy.

It's not clear why HTC stripped out the setting. See bug 1273 of Android.

If you just need a browser, check out Opera Mobile for Android, it supports its own Proxy-Settings.

download the "opera" web browser. im using the opera mobile. then in the url bar, type in "opera:config" then just scroll down to find "proxy" and it will open up giving you opera's proxy settings. enjoy! :D
