Intel i7 replacement and possible programming [clo

My Toshiba laptop has just broken, I want to take out its CPU (intel i7) and place it onto my old desktop (it has windows XP). how can I remove the CPU? Do I need to reporgram my CPU for Windows XP? Can you list what stuff I need for it?

there is a very large amount of sarcasm happening here that you apparently aren't getting. To answer your question and comment: you can reprogram your CPU all you want. It will take months of professional training and an instinctive understanding of CPU architecture which you do not have. In any case, reprogramming a CPU will not change the pin layout, so that line of reasoning is not only illogical, but irrelevant.

Additionally, it's nice that you have a Toshiba laptop. I have a car, but that doesn't mean you suddenly know what make and model it is. EVEN IF it were theoretically possible to get a laptop CPU, which is physically built differently than a desktop CPU, reconfigured both physically and programmatically, it still doesn't change the fact that you havent told us nearly enough information to get you into your laptop.

Having said that, here's the list you need:

A hammer
A screwdriver (flathead and phillips)
Something to hold your screws
Preferably a grounding strap
A flashlight

Remove the screws from your laptop, pry it open if necessary, gain access to the CPU, and remove it according to the manufacturer's instructions. After that, go nuts, because what you want is physically impossible. I suggest using the hammer.

If you want to quickly reprogram your CPU, don't use the grounding strap. With luck, you will build up enough static electricity so that when you touch the CPU, you will automatically reprogram it into a paperweight.

If you are a troll, we get it. Congrats. Now get off the playground so people don't have to waste their time on you. If you are legitimately asking these questions, you seriously lack the most basic understanding of how computers work. Find a working machine, go to google, and do some research.
